Dobbiaco has long enjoyed a pre-eminent position in South
Tyrolean
cross-country skiing and is a well-known venue for
international cross-country skiing competitions.
To reinforce this position, and also with a view to
continuing to attract cross-country skiing competitions such as
the World Cup to Dobbiaco, the existing
cross-country skiing centre has been completely rebuilt.
Since January 2010, Dobbiaco, the bastion of cross-country
skiing, is now the proud home to the newly built Nordic Arena
Cross-Country Skiing Centre, which is just 100 metres
behind the Apparthotel Germania and which offers the
following infrastructure:
public showers
changing cubicles
restaurant and bar
shop & outlet
conference room
broadcasting facilities
climbing tower (highest indoor climbing wall in Italy)
